Meet our Committee of Management & Our Team

MEET OUR PRESENTERS

The Committee is elected annually by the members at the Annual General Meeting. Like any organisation, the Committee represents the Members, to present the best outcomes for both the radio station and the community which it is part of.

Members of the committee include business and community minded people from within the local community.

Every year Members vote for Executive Office Bearers and General Committee Members.
Each year half of the committee is up for election, alternating between:
President + Treasurer + 2 Ordinary Members, (Odd numbered years) and
Vice President + Secretary + 1 Ordinary Committee Members. (Even numbered years)

Each elected position is therefore two years with a one year offset.

The Community Radio Broadcasting Codes Of Practice set out the operational standards and guiding principles and policies for programming on community broadcasting stations.

Guiding Principles
Community broadcasters are united by six guiding principles. We will work to:
  1. Promote harmony and diversity and contribute to an inclusive, cohesive and culturally-
    diverse Australian community
  2. Pursue the principles of democracy, access and equity, especially for people and issues not
    adequately represented in other media
  3. Enhance the diversity of programming choices available to the public and present programs
that expand the variety of viewpoints broadcast in Australia
  4. Demonstrate independence in programming as well as in editorial and management
    decisions
  5. Support and develop local arts and music
  6. Increase community involvement in broadcasting.
